I read this over at Michael Hyatt's blog about last nights Video Music Awards on MTV. It was interesting to read his response.
In general, I admit our culture is very sexual and sensual. Dress, conversation, visual, etc. It's hard to get away from it. It's hard to watch something on TV, walk through a mall, or skim a magazine without noticing it.
How do you promote healthy guidelines without being legalistic?
Maybe I'm thinking about this b/c I have a 4 year girl who will soon enough be older than I'm ready for her to be. Maybe I wonder how a Christ-follower responds to this? Maybe I am human and see how easy something you see can affect your inner heart and mind.
(BTW, this is not only a girl thing - it affects both genders)
Read Hyatt... tell me if you think he's overboard/old fashion, a little cautious, or onto something.
