Do you notice all the signs God sends you?
Are you looking for the ones you want instead of the ones you need?
Sunday we walked through Matt. 16:1-12 when one group of people wanted a sign from Jesus even though they saw many before. Jesus told them, they'd get one - the cross - and by then they'd figure out it was too late. Another group got worried about some food missing and instead of looking back to all the signs of Jesus' miraculous provision (not to mention the teaching about how God's children DO NOT have to worry, Matt. 6:25-34).
So... here's my thought:
Sometimes we miss the signs because of our own agendas (group 1) and sometimes we miss the signs because we forget we can actually trust God based the signs he's already provided (group 2).
I think I mess up on both often. You?
