neighbors & rakes

My unlcle lent me a different kind of rake - never saw it before. Has long teeth that combs the grass and removes old grass at the same time.
Worked amazing!!
I saw my neighbor cleaning his grass with a normal leaf rake... I boasted about this cool one I used and let him use it on his. He loved it!!
Today he rings the bell, says "Christmas is early,' and hands me over a new rake (the good one) as a gift - just like that (he bought one for himself too since he loved it so much).

Nuts, eh!!

I just love my neighborhood and what I learn about grace here.

That's awesome Dave, I love to hear these stories. Isn't it great getting to know your neighbours and then being able to call them "friends".? In Cambridge it seemed a lot easier - small town, tighter knit communities,... somehow in the big city everyone seems so busy, we just need to make a greater effort, it's well worth it. Keep sharing the stories....

Every community is different. We notice that from Laval to our little neighborhood in the West Island.
Just tonight Franca was at the park with tons of parents and kids there... 2 of them had supper at our place, 2 others joined us later for a movie in our living room. My basement was filled with 4 neighborhood kids, our own, and us! Lots of fun.
