inviting everybody

Following Jesus isn't for just anyone.

Think about it, you really have to respond to Jesus' call, "Follow Me"

Yet at the same time the invitation is for anyone and everyone.

In the parable of the wedding banquet, Jesus tells us about a King who sends out servants to gather those who were invited to the wedding, but when they refused to come - b/c they we're too caught up with their other priorities - the King sends out more invitations:

Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find (Matthew 22:9)

I have a sense God wants to use us in our circles, networks, and friendships to be INVITEES.

How else will my neighbor know they're invited to God's kingdom party?
How else will your co-worker know they're invited to know God?
How else will your brother or mother know they're invited to discover life to the fullest in Jesus?
How else will the CEO, manager, receptionist, I.T. guy, know they're invited to become whole through God's loving grace?

This is an interesting conclusion one 1st century Christ follower made.

Just curious: how do you think people will find out they're invited to know and follow Jesus, and welcome to belong to God's kingdom?

(what other questions come to mind?)
