Heroes, new series begins (+ small lesson b/w the lines)

It was a good night... Heroes started. Yes, it's a show (the only show) I like and watch.

Pretty layered themes, still trying to figure it all out.

Who's good, who's bad? Only time will tell as the season progresses.

One good line from Hiro, sitting in his Dad's CEO chair as he inherited the company and 250,000,000$:

I don't want money, I don't fame, I'm bored in this seat.
I'm looking for my destiny.

There's more to life than money, more than power or fame.
It's sad when we need money to make life fulfilling or exciting.
When we need 'stuff' to make our time worth while.

Talked with someone today who probably makes 3-4x as much as I do and they're looking for a good 2-3 year old car at about 18K (after driving a 10 year old car close to the end b/c it kept running well). Wow, being wealthy, and living beneath your means. A great example that life isn't just about spending what you have to get what you think you need.
