This never made it into a message I taught at Westside 2 weeks ago, teaching out of Phil 1:3-11. As I skimmed through my notes this hit me again, and I'm convinced God intends me to keep growing as his gospel transforms me to love well, discern well, and be changed - character/attitude - from the inside out.
