Yesterday while waiting for my son to have a surgery to fix a hernia we were deeply saddened to meet a couple in the waiting room holding a 6 week old baby girl (1 of a set of twins). This girl was waiting for her open heart surgery to repair a hole in her heart. The parents and what seemed to be brother and sister of these parents we very broken and anxious. I only had a chance to talk to the baby's Aunt. And we (Franca, Andrew, and myself) only had a chance to quietly say a private prayer in our corner for this girl. However, though I might never see them again, and none of you likely know them, I'd ask you to pray for DEMI, this 6 week old girl, who is fighting for her life.
I was struck by the intensity this couple was experiencing compared to my wife and I encouraging Andrew about his little hernia operation.
