...my 1st week of vacation was pretty much refinishing a wall in my garage. It was a an accomplishment for me (a less than amateur handy man), plus it gave me something to do to get my mind to take a rest from I think about 24/7...
...also filled with spontaneous evenings with my family: movie, BBQ, walks, ice cream, park, Jazz Fest (great being in that atmosphere)...
...brought our neighbor's son (along with my own) to see Shrek 3 (it was ok, the kids enjoyed it, Transformers was better, see a few thoughts here, but it was fun going since his Dad came along so it became a Father/Son event)
...celebrated a friend's wedding (BBQ style): Victor and Sherylin
...here's the sad news: my wife got this crazy stomach thing (either flu or food poisoning) which means we'll be leaving for our short trip one day later (PRAY SHE FEELS BETTER and that the rest of us don't get it)
...I'm praying Westside's church @ home gatherings went well today and the whole 4 weeks will be a restoring time for everyone participating; can't wait to join them on week 4!
