Yesterday I (we) celebrated 9 years of marriage. Pretty amazing (that's what my hair dresser said too).
Being married to Franca has been incredibly fulfilling.
She loves me (I know that for sure)
She protects me (not from robbers, but my character, reputation, and integrity)
She nurtures me
She challenges me (I've learned lots about myself through marriage, and she never lets me not grow out of it)
She speaks wisdom and truth into my life
She looks out for our quality time
She looks out for my extremes (work, eating, time)
She makes our home livable and attractive and hospitable (food, order, clean)
She's just amazing, and I love her for it.
It's not that I don't contribute to any of these things, but there's ways that she does that makes a huge difference. Even without everything I mentioned, I still love her more than anything in this world.
I thank God for 9 years of marriage.
Last night we went to a cool little Italian Restaurant that we went to only once, before we were married. I thought it would be nice to go back - it was a little surprise. La Capannina: 2022 Stanley (Downtown Montreal). If you live in Montreal, this place has personalized service and excellent food (I normally complain easily about the food, but I had NO complaints last night)
