I recently proposed some changes for our monthly routine to our church community.
Long story short, depending on some changes and results of these changes we might opt to drop a gathering and balance off our monthly rhythm with something else - that fulfills our purpose and mission better.
QUESTION: what if a friend of yours wants to come to a gathering... and... there isn't one.
Have we dropped the ball? Are we being lazy? Does it mean we don't care about being ready to help some one's search?
My 1st thought is: be the spiritual community to your friend; take them out for coffee, or breakfast, or invite a few friends over - and then maybe start a discussion that your friend can participate in.
My 2nd thought is: is God's reality or draw on some one's soul not strong enough? will it die out within 12 hours like a message from mission impossible?
Are we spending too much time getting ready, being ready for someone, anyone... and missing out on being, going, living?
