Convergence. What a word. Here are some cool definitions:
1. The process of coming together or the state of having come together toward a common point.
2. The coordinated turning of the eyes inward to focus on an object at close range.
3. The adaptive evolution of superficially similar structures, such as the wings of birds and insects, in unrelated species subjected to similar environments.
My favorite so far: The point of converging; a meeting place: a town at the convergence of two rivers.
I like the sense that when 2 rivers converge they instantaneously have become a unit. So intertwined with each other, it would be impossible to separate their former parts. So impacting is the encounter, change beomes unavoidable.
What kind of convergences have you experienced - with people, places, or spirituality - that you can't possibly go back and undo the effect it's had on you?
